The Rose Award is given in the memory of Mrs. Reginald P. Rose who served on the Executive Committee of the Association from 1956 to 1982, who was instrumental in the preservation of Sagamore Hill, and whose dedication, energetic leadership, hard work and inspired efforts of behalf of the Association represent the highest tradition of service to the TRA.  The “Rose Award” is bestowed to those officers and members of the TRA who have rendered outstanding service to the Association, and who have earned special prominence and distinction in the history of the Association.
