You and your family and friends are cordially invited to one of the most exciting events offered by the Theodore Roosevelt Association, the Family Cruise on the aircraft carrier, Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) to be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009. The Family Cruise is a naval tradition after a long deployment, offering the crew members the opportunity to show off their ship to their loved ones. As you might imagine, they put on a great show. Captain Ladd Wheeler has kindly invited members of the TRA to participate in this wonderful event. You have never seen a show like this! It will be an all day event, with a dinner the evening before.
The Theodore Roosevelt will sail early in the morning from her home at the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia and return in the evening. Registrations must be received by April 30th. Participation is limited to TRA members and their families. Non-Members wishing to participate must join the TRA on-line prior to registering for event.
Reservations are required by the close of business April 30th!

Please arrive at the hotel promptly. The buses will leave at 6 AM for the aircraft carrier.. This is an all day event; the ship will return in the early evening followed by bus transportation back to hotel. You must be on the bus in order to join the cruise. You cannot use your automobile to enter the base.
Details and Restrictions:
Guests must be between the ages of 8-80
All adults must bring a valid drivers license or passport.
No sandals or flip flops
Please wear comfortable clothing,we recommend hats, sunscreen and jacket for cooler weather
TRA Guests will be divided into tour groups of 15-20 with two tour member guides
USS TR Junior Officer of the Year re-presentation on the flight deck
Three meals on board
